The Role

Joining as a semi-senior accountant you will be supporting the delivery of accountancy, tax and business support services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries.

This role will involve:

Providing guidance and support to junior team members
Preparation of management accounts, VAT returns and CIS returns
Initial year-end review for the annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
Overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
Responding to technical accounting and finance related queries from the team and clients
Providing a friendly point of contact to clients ensuring timely responses
Continued professional development with a commitment to learning new skills and advancing your technical knowledge

The Successful Applicant

We require someone who:

Capable of building strong relationships internally and externally
Able to remain calm under pressure
Part-qualified ACA/ACCA with senior level accountancy and tax experience
Experience working within general practice is essential
Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
Experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous
