JDC Scaffolding has worked alongside SAS in various capacities for over 10 years. JDC Scaffolding are a North London-based scaffolding company who cover London & the Home Counties on projects up to 5 million. Partnering with Contractors to produce bespoke scaffold schedules and early design advice with a view to value engineering a scheme to a realistic budget.
Why they chose SAS
JDC Scaffolding started looking for new accountants when they decided they were unhappy with the level of service their accountants at the time were providing. JDC had previously worked with John Sterling, Finance Director, and could see SAS’s services and company developing and were confident that we could provide the level of service required.
The challenge
SAS engaged with JDC Scaffolding and straight away took over management of an ongoing HMRC VAT inspection that involved very detailed and time consuming reconciliations and multiple meetings with HMRC, during this process SAS negotiated with HMRC to get the best outcome for JDC.
The SAS approach
SAS worked closely with JDC to help implement processes that will ensure moving forward everything is accounted for correctly, while also preparing detailed monthly management reporting and cashflow forecasting. SAS also introduced JDC to an invoice discounting company and helped set up the internal processes for this.
The results
JDC were secure in the knowledge that all their legal financial requirements were taken care of, leaving them with time to concentrate on business operations. JDC were comfortable with the fact that SAS had in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, particularly helping with R&D claims. SAS helped JDC get over a million pounds in funding to grow their business alongside claims & funding through covid 19 and the finances coming out of the pandemic.
